Homebase in the Community

On any given week, you’re likely to find Homebase employees engaging with our community in a variety of places. Recent activities have included financial education events at the Petersburg Library and Carter G. Woodson Middle School, volunteering with Holiday Helper on Fort Lee, and a Special Olympics Feet Meet in Prince George. We’ve also represented Homebase at multiple career fairs and chamber events.
Pictured here, several Homebase staff recently attended the Bridging the Gap community awareness event in Hopewell. This initiative focused on bringing the community together to promote safety, share valuable resources, and support families in our area.
$2,000 from Annual Meeting Proceeds Donated to Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center

Each year, Homebase proudly matches 100% of the proceeds from our Annual Meeting dinner ticket sales and donates the total to a local nonprofit organization making a meaningful impact in our community.
In 2026, we are honored to support the Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center (CFBOC). Recently, we presented the organization with a $2,000 donation and had the opportunity to tour its facility. Seeing firsthand the scope of their work combatting food insecurity throughout our region reinforced the importance of their mission and the difference it makes in the lives of individuals and families every day.
We are proud to partner with an organization that provides such vital support to our community and helps ensure that no neighbor goes hungry. To learn more about the CFBOC and how you can support its mission, visit cfboc.org.
