Homebase Credit Union offers “Excellence in Leadership” Scholarships each spring, awarding funds to four graduating seniors within its membership. Qualified students submit applications and are judged anonymously on factors including academic merit, personal achievements, demonstrated leadership experience, extra-curricular involvement, and work experience. The Credit Union is proud to announce the 2023 winners:

Kevin Meza, $2,500 Scholarship Recipient
A graduate of Appomattox Regional Governor’s School, Mr. Meza plans to attend Richard Bland College of William & Mary for an Associate of Science, and ultimately pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Laniyah Allamby, $1,000 Scholarship Recipient
Miss Allamby graduated from Thomas Dale High School. She plans to attend Hampton University and major in Nursing.

Emma Shepperson, $1,000 Scholarship Recipient
Miss Shepperson graduated from Thomas Dale High School. She plans to attend Longwood University and major in Theater Education.

Aniya Vincent, $1,000 Scholarship Recipient
A graduate of Matoaca High School, Miss Vincent plans to major in Sociology at the University of Virginia and pursue a career in Human Resources.
